Wells

Chad is one of the countries in Africa where the local population obtains water for food and hygiene from polluted ponds or from rainwater. Access to water is a critical problem in Chad, due to its geological features and climatic conditions (semi-arid climate), the water supply is limited.

On average, only 300 mm of rain falls per year, concentrated over about 2 months, which severely limits the harvest year. The population is forced to spend much of their time and energy obtaining water and moving to distant sources.

The quality of these water sources is very uncertain. This arduous task is often taken care of by the women, young girls and boys and comes at the expense of schooling. In some cases, they have to walk 6.5 to 7.5 kilometers for low-quality drinking water.

We find that unacceptable, we want to build water pumps for these people with your help. With this we help the entire community, young children can go to school and women can perform other tasks.
